Morris is looking to extend its 10-0 season when it hosts No. 8 Montini at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Class 4A Round of 16. The Warriors are ranked No. 1 and have accumulated nearly 4,000 total offensive yards this season. Their defense has forced a plus-19 turnover margin, a statistical edge that could determine the outcome against a balanced Bronco attack.

Montini enters the game with an 8-2 record after defeating Geneseo in the first round. Quarterback Izzy Abrams completed 14 of 18 passes for 164 yards and three touchdowns in that contest. Running back Eddie Kowalski added 106 rushing yards. The Broncos will rely on linebackers Orlando Greco and Ben Evenson to contain Morris's powerful offensive line.

Morris's offense is led by quarterback Marion Persich, who transferred from La Salle-Peru this year. Persich has thrown for 1,353 yards and 17 touchdowns while rushing for 933 yards. The Warriors defeated Tinley Park 70-0 in the previous round. If Morris wins, it will face the victor of the Sterling and Phoenix/Hillcrest game in the quarterfinals.

In Class 3A, No. 13 Sandwich travels to face No. 12 Hope Academy at 2 p.m. Saturday. Sandwich defeated Du-Pec 29-20 last week, gaining 204 rushing yards. Wyatt Gregory leads the Indians with 1,553 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. This would be Sandwich's first quarterfinal appearance since 2015, as the team has reached that stage only three times in school history.

Hope Academy has made 12 straight postseason appearances and defeated Bishop McNamara 36-13 in the first round. Senior running back Maurtice Mitchell Jr. rushed for 214 yards and four touchdowns on eight carries in that win. Linebacker Devin Mims is a Chicagoland Christian All-Conference selection. The winner of this game will play the victor of Manteno and Richmond-Burton.

In Class 1A, No. 12 Dwight plays at No. 4 Clifton Central at 3 p.m. Saturday. Dwight is seeking its third consecutive quarterfinal berth. The Trojans feature a running attack led by Ayden Collom, Joseph Duffy, and quarterback Collin Bachand, who also serves as a passing threat off play-action.

Clifton Central has scored at least 36 points in every game since its season-opening loss to Salt Fork. Sophomore quarterback Cash Minard and running back Everett Bailey anchor the Comet offense. The winner advances to face the victor of Heyworth/Galena and Abingdon-Avon/Fisher.
