The Hobart/Lawrence Police Department released records on Friday night that detail accounts from three women who contacted investigators after Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was arrested in May.

The documents, obtained through a public records request, include specific allegations of physical altercations that Jacobs' legal team described as uncorroborated and old.

Jacobs was arrested on May 26 following an incident on May 23 in which a woman claimed he threw her to the ground. He pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property on September 10.

One woman told police she had an incident with Jacobs on January 5, 2022. She said she spent about 11 hours at his home and that he slapped her, threw her phone into a swimming pool, and pinned her to the floor.

She stated that Jacobs told her, "I should kill you right now," and spat on her. The woman said she did not report the event at the time because she remained friends with Jacobs and worried her story would not be believed.

A second woman reported an incident in April 2021. She said Jacobs pushed her against a wall and threw her belongings out of a residence after she asked him to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases.

The woman said she had bruises on her arms and swelling in her rib area. Police records from that time indicated officers observed no visible signs of injury or damage consistent with a physical altercation.

A third woman said Jacobs flew her to a residence in May 2022. She described being grabbed by the hair, dragged, and scratched on the chest and neck. She said she did not report the incident because she was not a U.S. citizen at the time and Jacobs told her she could be deported.

The records also provided additional details on the May 23 incident that led to the original charges. The complaint states that Jacobs lunged at the woman, pinned her to a bed, and placed his hand on her mouth and nose. She said she believed she lost consciousness briefly when the confrontation moved to a garage.

Jacobs' attorneys, David Z. Chesnoff, Richard A. Schonfeld, and Clarence F. Duchac III, issued a statement on Saturday. They said the Brown County District Attorney's office had the new allegations for months and determined only two misdemeanor charges were warranted.

The NFL placed Jacobs on the commissioner's exempt list in August, which caused him to miss the first six games of the season. The league is still investigating the May incident and may issue further discipline.

Jacobs returned to the field two weeks ago and scored two touchdowns in a win over the Carolina Panthers. He celebrated one score by placing his hands behind his back, a move he said was inspired by a gospel song.
