Metallica will perform in Connecticut for the first time since 1998 when they headline Mohegan Sun Arena on November 19 and November 21. The two dates mark the 25th anniversary of the venue. These shows are the group’s only U.S. tour stops this year outside of their residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. Tickets begin at $595.95.

The November calendar also features a vaudeville show from actor John C. Reilly, known for his roles in "Step Brothers" and "Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule." Reilly will perform as Mister Romantic at the Ridgefield Playhouse on November 18. The production is backed by Grammy award-winning musicians. Tickets for the event start at $100.

Chief Keef is scheduled to play The Dome at Toyota Oakdale Theatre on November 4. The rapper, associated with tracks like "Love Sosa," will perform a show with tickets starting at $59.50.

A rare local appearance by Puss in Boots is planned for November 7 at the Infinity Music Hall in Norfolk. The folk supergroup includes Norah Jones, Sasha Dobson, and Catherine Popper. Admission for the concert is $76.80.

Also on November 7, the Punch Brothers will perform at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Connecticut. The bluegrass band is led by mandolinist Chris Thile. Tickets start at $55. That same day, Hot Mulligan will play the College Street Music Hall in New Haven. The emo rock band will be supported by One Step Closer, Riley!, and Wakelee. Entry fees begin at $53.96.

Local jam band Eggy will perform at Toad's Place on November 25, which falls on Thanksgiving Eve. Tickets for that show start at $35.60. The month concludes on November 28 with a performance by The Temptations at the Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino. Led by original member Otis Williams, the group will perform classic hits such as "My Girl" and "Papa Was a Rolling Stone." Tickets start at $84.75.
