WOODSTOCK, Ill., Nov. 1, 2026. Woodstock quarterback Cash White threw two touchdown passes and rushed for two more Saturday to lead the Blue Streaks to a 35-7 win over Prairie Ridge. The victory marks the school's first Class 5A playoff win since 2009.

White, who celebrated his birthday on game day, finished with 119 passing yards on six of eight attempts and 103 rushing yards on 12 carries. Sophomore running back Nick Morrow contributed 137 rushing yards and caught two touchdown passes from White. Woodstock entered the contest with an 8-3 record, while Prairie Ridge finished 3-8.

The Blue Streaks defense forced a punt on Prairie Ridge's first possession. Woodstock then moved the ball on a 13-play, 60-yard drive that concluded with Morrow's 26-yard rushing touchdown. The team scored on all three of its possessions in the first half to build a 21-0 lead by the intermission.

White extended the lead with a 19-yard run in the second quarter. He later connected with Morrow on a 65-yard sideline pass for another score. In the second half, White added a one-yard run, and Morrow caught a 19-yard touchdown pass to complete the scoring for Woodstock.

The Woodstock defense limited the Prairie Ridge offense to 172 total yards. Senior Jaxon Hansen recorded two tackles for loss, while Connor Calvin-Garcia and Morrow each added one. Hansen noted that the playoff atmosphere caused the team to hit harder and move faster than usual.

Prairie Ridge senior Jake Wagler led the Wolves with 64 rushing yards on 12 carries and scored on a four-yard run. Quarterback Brock Bowden rushed for 33 yards on 11 attempts. Coach Mike Frericks of Prairie Ridge said the team remained resilient despite an off-year season.

Woodstock coach Mike Brasile praised the team's preparation during the bye week. The Blue Streaks will travel to St. Francis for the second round of the playoffs.
