Chicago Bears placed defensive tackle Kentavius Street on injured reserve Wednesday after he suffered a knee injury during Monday's win over the Seattle Seahawks. Head coach Ben Johnson stated the injury is likely to end Street's season.
The team also confirmed that left tackle Braxton Jones will miss the remainder of the campaign. Jones underwent surgery to repair a knee injury and was placed on injured reserve at the beginning of October.
Running back Kyle Monangai was listed as out for Wednesday's session due to a toe and thumb injury. The Bears did not hold a full practice but instead conducted a walkthrough in preparation for Sunday night's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Other players expected to miss Wednesday's workout included left tackle Theo Benedet, who injured his shoulder Monday, and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, who left the game early with a groin issue. Linebacker T.J. Edwards and running back Zavier Scott were also out for personal and wrist reasons, respectively.
Rookie cornerback Malik Muhammad, dealing with a toe injury, was limited. Johnson said the team will evaluate the status of several players over the week. "We'll see," Johnson said at Lake Forest. "We got a few guys that we're gonna have to see over the course of the week here whether they'll be available or not."
The Bears signed tight end Stephen Carlson to the active roster and added defensive end Earnest Brown IV to the practice squad on Wednesday.
